Country queen Faith Hill just celebrated her 55th birthday on September 21, and she's not the only one commemorating the occasion. Hill's husband and fellow country icon Tim McGraw also chimed in with a birthday Instagram post of his own. (Yes, McGraw is on Instagram!)

McGraw -- who has served as Hill's husband, duet partner, and 1883 costar over the years -- is clearly still devoted to his wife of 26 years.
"Happy birthday!!!!! My best friend / My soul mate / The love of my life," he wrote under an video montage of pics of his wife. "I can’t believe that I get to spend my days and nights with you for the rest of my life!"
To top it all off, the post was accompanied by McGraw's 1999 hit, "My Best Friend."
Triple Heart-Worthy
In response to the effusive post, McGraw's wife simply commented with three heart Emojis. We can only assume she was in the middle of something!
Of course, this isn't the first time McGraw has captured fans' (and his wife's) hearts on Instagram. In October 21, to celebrate his 25th anniversary with Hill, he posted an equally swoon-worthy message:
“We had dated for a while," he said in the Instagram video. "I actually asked her to marry me quite a few times, but she kept saying, 'No, I’m not gonna get involved with another country singer. It’s just not going to work out.'" We're glad it did!
A Cliffhanger Engagement
McGraw -- who, like Hill, is 55 -- popped the question one final time at the 1996 Taste of Country Music Festival in Grand Junction, Colorado. Though he asked for Hill's hand before the two went on stage, she made him wait for an answer until he finished his set. We can only imagine his set was extra emotional that day!
... And It Was. Emotional, That Is
“I came off the stage and went back into my dressing room and Faith wasn’t there, but I looked at the mirror. In lipstick it said, "'Yes! I’m gonna be your wife,'" he recalled in the video. "And we still have that mirror. And it was the best day of my life, that’s for sure.”
We can only guess that the mirror is in a shrine room or something like that -- next to all of the many awards the two of them have won over the years.
